5 Reasons My Feet Stopped Freezing on the Kitchen Floor at 6 in the Morning
Summary: This is what a cold kitchen floor does to your feet at 6 in the morning, especially if your feet are already the cold kind. The toes go white and stiff before the coffee is made. Socks on tile slide, so now you are cold and holding the counter. The big fluffy slippers come out, and by 10 your feet are sweating in them. Bare, they are cold. Fluffy, they overheat. Socks, you slide. I have Raynaud's in my feet, I need to wear something on my feet at all times now. What finally worked is a soft knit with a thin rubber sole, and 100,000+ women have found the same thing. Here is what we all worked out.

1. My Feet Were Cold. My Feet Won't Be Cold.

One woman answered all 4 questions on our survey with the same 2 lines: "My feet were cold. My feet won't be cold." That is the whole story. "Cold feet especially in the winter!!" "My feet are getting cold now that winter has arrived." "Our hot weather is over. My feet were cold today."
The soft knit keeps the chill of the floor off your foot without smothering it. Honestly, the tile is still cold. It is just not your problem now.
2. Warm Without Sweating, So They Stay On Past 10

Every winter the fluffy pair came off by 10 because my feet were sweating in them. On the survey it comes back every week: "Cold feet. Not making my feet sweat." "Comfort & breathable to avoid sweating which slippers do."
These are a knit, so they breathe. One woman wrote after a month: "FINALLY shoes that I don't have to wear socks with! Comfortable and my feet don't sweat in them!" Another: "They are like socks with rubber soles. Comfy and I will wear all winter."
3. Socks on Tile Means a Hand on the Counter. These Hold.

Doubling up on socks was my answer for years. Everyone else doubles up on socks and still slides. So I was cold and holding the counter at the same time.
There is a thin rubber sole underneath with a honeycomb grip that holds on tile and hardwood, wet bathroom floor included. "Slip protection on floor while keeping my feet warm," one woman wrote. "Warm + safe," wrote another. My toes are not freezing on the bathroom tile anymore, and I have not grabbed the counter once.
4. One by the Bed, One by the Back Door

Cold feet happen in 2 places: the first steps out of bed, and the back door at 6 when the dog goes out. "I use them for house shoes because my feet stay cold, walking around these hardwood floors," one woman said. "Also you can use them to wear outside like go check your mail or take out the trash."
They go on standing up, they are so light you leave them on all day, and they go straight in the washer. "I work from home and don't need heavy shoes on. Feet stay warm and comfortable while I work." That is my day too, from the first coffee to the last email.
